Wembley man killed in snowmobile accident along Red Willow River Sunday
A 48-year-old man from Wembley has died following a snowmobile accident on the Red Willow River on Sunday afternoon.
Beaverlodge RCMP say they received a report of a single snowmobile accident that occurred along the river about 40 kilometres south of Beaverlodge on March 8, at around 4 p.m.
RCMP, EMS, and the Wembley Fire Department responded to the scene via snow-machines, which were offered by snowmobilers and off-duty firefighters in the area. STARS air ambulance also responded to the scene.
However, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene following life-saving efforts by emergency personnel.
