Full funding confirmed by province for replacement of Harry Balfour School
The province has confirmed full funding for the replacement of the Harry Balfour School.
On Monday, Alberta’s Education Minister, Adriana LaGrange visited the Peace Wapiti Public School Division office in Grande Prairie, where she confirmed the funding. She was in the city as part of her tour of Northwestern Alberta.
“Our government remains committed to building new schools and modernizing our existing ones to ensure students continue to learn in safe and modern spaces. Education remains a priority and our government’s significant investment in school infrastructure is delivering on our promise to prioritize schools for today and generations to come,” said LaGrange in a press release.
The County of Grande Prairie will also provide land at the Five Mile Hall site for the new school.
