Postponements, cancellations, closures related to COVID-19

Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue is closed to the public. The staff and volunteers continue to care for the 125 animals at the facility. Donations can be dropped off at the donation bin outside the front door.

Tiny Hands of Hope has postponed its Illuminate the Night Gala set for Saturday to a later date.

The Montrose Cultural Centre, including the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie Public Library, Revolution Place Arena, the Grande Prairie Museum, Heritage Discovery Centre, Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park, and the Leisure Centre are all closed. The Dave Barr Arena is also closed, but the daycare in the community centre will stay open.

The Eastlink Centre and Coca Cola Centre are also closed until further notice. More on that can be found here.

The last two days of the Foster’s Peace Country Classic Agri-Show have been cancelled. The Farm Family Banquet set for Friday night will be rescheduled.

Grande Prairie Regional College has cancelled the Fairview campus Convocation set for Saturday. The President’s Awards Lunch and Student Business Conference, which were both scheduled for Tuesday, have also been cancelled.

The Peace Country Beef and Forage Association all of its events planned for March. That includes the Organic Workshop set for March 20 in Hines Creek.

The Alberta Food and Beverage Expo has been rescheduled from March 21 to June 13.

The Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association’s Lip Sync Battle has been postponed to June 19.

The City of Grande Prairie is cancelling or postponing all non-essential meetings over the week of March 16. This includes Committee meetings.

Mommylicious set for March 15 is postponed.

The Slocan Ramblers show set for March 15 at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre is also postponed.

Several Revolution Place events have been postponed. That includes the Rednek Music Fest that was to be held March 20, the Tales from the Penalty Box fund-raiser for the Storm March 21, the Rodney Carrington show that was also set for March 21, and the George Thorogood concert that was scheduled for April 21.
