Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect for Grande Prairie region

Environment Canada has extended an Extreme Cold Warning for Grande Prairie and surrounding communities, including Beaverlodge, Valleyview, Peace River, Manning, High Prairie, Grande Cache and Hinton.

They say despite some moderation on Saturday afternoon, wind chills are expected to dip to around the -40 range again Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

More moderation of temperatures is expected on Sunday, with the high forecast to be -8.

Monday’s high is forecasted to be -3.
