Ski resorts close amid coronavirus concerns

Mar 16, 2020 | 11:32 AM

Several ski resorts in Alberta have temporarily closed in response to growing concerns about COVID-19.

In a letter posted to guests, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies president John Shea says operations have been suspended for one week.

The closure is in place for Nakiska in Kananaskis Country west of Calgary, as well as several B-C resorts: Fernie, Kimberley and Kicking Horse in Golden.

Three ski hills in the Edmonton area have also shut down – Rabbit Hill, Snow Valley and Sunridge.
