The Grande Prairie Storm announced the signings of two local players Tuesday afternoon.

Hudson Foley and Ty Toews from the Major Midget AAA Ernies Sports Storm signed contracts with the team for the 2020-2021 season.

Foley and Toews both had solid seasons with the AAA Storm and even spent some time affiliating with the AJHL Storm.

Foley registered 27 points in 32 games this season, while Toews had 33 points in 32 games both for the AAA Storm.

In a release, the Storm talked about what Foley and Toews can bring to the team.

“Ty brings a high hockey IQ and a strong work ethic to the Storm. Ty’s leadership and character in the dressing room will go a long way in shaping the culture of the Storm for years to come. The Storm are looking forward to his development in the off-season and his ability to make an impact next year.”

“Hudson brings a strong 2-way game to the Storm and experience playing in all situations. Much like Ty, Hudson brings a high hockey IQ and will be a strong contributor for the Storm for years to come.”
