County of Grande Prairie restricts access to all parks and campgrounds

Mar 27, 2020 | 5:20 PM

Following the Province of Alberta’s announcement to restrict access to Parks facilities, the County of Grande Prairie has announced that all Parks and Campgrounds in the area have been closed to public access until further notice.

This includes Bear Lake, Demmitt, Hommy, Kleskun Hill and Pipestone Creek Parks.

The Province says this decision is an important step to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Those that are looking for recreation opportunities should choose places close to home, like going for a walk in their neighbourhood, while following the advice of the government and health officials on physical distancing and public gatherings.
