Falher, High Level areas add first confirmed COVID-19 cases Saturday

The province’s COVID-19 aggregate data website is reporting the first five confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Falher area on Saturday, as the province as a whole added 79 new cases to bring Alberta’s total to 621.

Four more confirmed cases are being reported in the Peace River area, bringing that area’s total to eight. The High Level area also recorded its first confirmed case on Saturday.

The High Prairie area also added a new confirmed case, which now has six confirmed cases. The City of Grande Prairie still sits with two confirmed cases, while the County of Grande Prairie and Valleyview areas each have one.

Across the province, 38 individuals have been hospitalized with COVID-19, with 12 needing intensive care units (ICU).
