Snow clearing operations to go in Clairmont on Tuesday

Mar 30, 2020 | 12:37 PM

Starting Tuesday, County crews will be clearing ice and snow from roadways between 100 and 113 Avenue in Clairmont.

Once that work is finished, crews will move on to the subdivisions of Whispering Ridge and Westlake Village, before clearing the roads in Wedgewood, Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge.

During the work, temporary parking restrictions will be in effect, and ‘No Parking’ signs will be posted in select areas.

Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., vehicles left on the streets where parking restrictions are in place may be ticketed and/or towed.

The County of Grande Prairie is also asking the public to not push or pile snow from their property onto the roads, as it can slow the snow clearing process and create a traffic safety hazard.

The County’s website has more details on parking restrictions and the snow removal process.
