North Zone adds 11 COVID-19 cases, province adds 106

The North Zone added 11 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 Saturday, according to the province’s aggregate data website, bringing the Zone’s total number of cases to 68.

Six of those cases were added in the Falher area, bringing the total number of cases in that area to 17. Three were added in the High Prairie area, bringing its total to 10.

Alberta-wide, 106 confirmed cases were added on Saturday, one less than the day prior, bringing the provincial total to 1,181 as of April 4.

The breakdown of cases in the Peace Region as of Saturday can be found below:

  • City of Grande Prairie: Two cases
  • County of Grande Prairie: One Case
  • Valleyview: One case
  • Falher: 17 cases
  • High Prairie: Ten cases
  • Slave Lake: Four cases
  • Peace River: Eight cases
  • High Level: One case

The province adds two more individuals have died from COVID-19, meaning 20 people in Alberta have now died from complications with the disease. Both of Saturday’s reported fatalities are from the Calgary zone at the McKenzie Towne Continuing Care Centre. 10 residents of that facility have now died from COVID-19 related complications.
