2020 Wanham Plowing Match cancelled

The Directors of the Wanham Plowing Match says this year’s edition has been cancelled.
The announcement is contained in a post on the Match’s Facebook page.
The post says this was “a very difficult decision,” but, given the pandemic, the decision to cancel was unanimous.
As well, the current economy and what the post calls personal challenges impacted the event’s viability
This year would have marked the 50th anniversary of the Wanham Plowing Match.
