Seventh resident of McLennan care home dies from COVID-19
A seventh resident of the Manoir du Lac continuing care facility in McLennan has died from COVID-19 Monday as four more Albertans have lost their lives due to the novel coronavirus.
Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, announced the fatality during Monday’s COVID-19 update. Fifty-nine Albertans have now died from COVID-19, including nine in the North Zone.
Six new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the North Zone as the province added 105 new cases on Monday to bring the province’s total number of cases to 2,908. The North Zone has 143 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Of the new cases was the first case identified in Clear Hills County. One new case was added in the M.D. of Smoky River, while four new cases have appeared in Mackenzie County.
