WestJet cancels Grande Prairie – Edmonton flights in May
WestJet has updated it’s domestic flight schedule from May 5 through June 4, 2020, and is temporarily removing it’s flights between Grande Prairie and Edmonton.
The changes, which are meant to address the significant drop in customers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cuts approximately 4,000 flights a week, 13 of which were between Grande Prairie and Edmonton.
The airline says that while these temporary cancellations affect passenger services, they will be maintaining the transportation of cargo goods, including blood, medical products, and food supplies.
WestJet adds that those who have booked travel between May 5 and June 4 will be contacted to determine future travel options.
