The Grande Prairie Fire Department were called to the Cobblestone neighbourhood early Wednesday morning, for reports of a house fire.
When crews arrived on the scene at 2:48 a.m., they discovered two houses fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the block, though not before two additional houses sustained damage from the heat.
All occupants were able to safely exit the houses, and there were no injuries reported. However, the fire has displaced several occupants.
The Fire Department marked the incident as “Under Control” at 5:30 a.m., though crews remained on the scene afterwards, ensuring all hot spots were fully extinguished.
