Annual City Scrub kicks off Tuesday, runs until May 8
The City of Grande Prairie’s annual City Scrub officially kicked off on Tuesday, which runs until May 8.
The City Scrub is a community clean-up event that occurs every spring, with the goal being to pick-up garbage and litter that has collected under the snow over the winter months.
The usual method this is completed is by teams registering for specific locations to clean up. However, because of COVID-19, residents participating in the Scrub are encouraged to clean up garbage within parks or their own neighbourhoods, using their own supplies, to help follow public health regulations.
Residents whose bags do not fit in their curbside cart may request a bag tag.
