Gas leak being repaired on Elevator Road in Beaverlodge

The Town of Beaverlodge says a gas leak has been detected on Elevator Road and residents are being asked to stay away from the area between the granaries and the Beaverlodge Home Build Centre (Home Hardware) while Atco and Public Works continue to repair the line.
The section of road, outlined in red on the map above, is closed and is expected to remain closed into Wednesday while repairs are made.
The public is asked to not dispose of cigarettes in that area as it poses a risk to public safety.
