Update: As of Tuesday, April 28, the City of Grande Prairie has re-opened all un-paved trails at Muskoseepi Park. However, the City is still asking the public to obey any remaining signs, barricades, and the direction of local authorities.

The City of Grande Prairie has re-opened the paved trails in Muskoseepi Park to the public Monday afternoon. All unpaved trails remain closed as the City continues to monitor their condition as a result of high water levels from Bear Creek.

The park and trails had been closed since Thursday due to unpredictable and high water levels in Bear Creek, following an alert sent out by the Grande Prairie regional Emergency Partnership on Wednesday.

The City says they are monitoring and assessing the conditions of unpaved trails before they will be re-opened.
