Province launching online hub to help seniors
The Alberta Government is launching an online hub for helping seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The resources is called CORE, or Collaborative Online Resources and Education, and will provide a platform for seniors-serving organizations to improve delivery of services for seniors, according to a release.
Key issues that can be better communicated via CORE include transportation, food security, social isolation and home supports.
“We are using this technology to better serve Alberta seniors,” says Josephine Pon, Minister of Seniors and Housing. “Older individuals are among those most at-risk for COVID-19. We believe the online knowledge hub will enhance the way organizations support seniors during the pandemic, and help keep them safe as we move forward with our relaunch plans.”
