Judge finds Calgary man not guilty in death of four-year-old daughter

CALGARY- A judge has ruled there’s not enough evidence to prove a Calgary man murdered his daughter in 2014.

Oluwatosin Oluwafemi put his face in his hands and sighed deeply as Justice Suzanne Bensler found him not guilty of second-degree murder in the death of four-year-old Olive Rebekah Oluwafemi.

Bensler said it did appear that the girl was a victim of child abuse, and that a number of injuries she had could only have occurred in the weeks before she died.

But the judge said it is impossible to say whether it was Oluwafemi, his wife, or someone else who was responsible.
