RCMP seek suspect in Peace River assault case

May 21, 2020 | 3:22 PM

Peace Regional RCMP are seeking help from the public as they search for suspects in relation to an assault that took place earlier this month in Peace River.

On the afternoon of May 3, around 1:15, police responded to a call of a disturbance at a multi-unit residential building in the area of 101 Street and 108 Avenue. An investigation into the incident showed that an unknown male entered one of the units in the building and assaulted the unit’s occupant before fleeing the scene.

RCMP say the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries from the assault.

Authorities are now asking anyone that saw any suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area around that time, or have video surveillance footage of the area to come forward to the Peace Regional RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
