Northwest Territories RCMP expand call in locating man wanted in fatal collision

RCMP in the Northwest Territories are renewing and expanding their call for assistance in locating Steven Theriault, a 44-year-old man from Behchoko, Northwest Territories.

Theriault is wanted on an arrest-warrant related to a fatal single motor vehicle collision on April 22, which claimed the life of a female passenger, and injured two others.

Theriault is believed to be the driver, and drugs and alcohol may have contributed to the collision.

Mounties believe Theriault could be in the Northwest Territories or in Alberta, in either Northern Alberta or the Greater Edmonton area.

Steven Theriault is described as an Indigenous male, standing 5’8″ tall (170 cm), weighing 230 lbs.(105 kg), with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Theriault’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Behchoko RCMP at 867-392-1111, or their local police. Anonymous tips can also be made through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
