Suspect at-large after Tuesday incident east of Whitecourt

RCMP in Whitecourt are continuing to search for a suspect who evaded police after an incident near the Hamlet of Blue Ridge on Tuesday morning.

Authorities alerted the public of a heavy police presence in the Blue Ridge area, just east of Whitecourt, on the morning of June 9. From that incident, police are now looking for 35-year-old Bradley Duff.

At around 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Whitecourt RCMP were called out to a report of a vehicle in the ditch with an unconscious occupant. While EMS were on scene, the man who was later identified as Duff, regained consciousness and fled into a forested area.

Through investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had been stolen out of Edmonton back in April.

After a search for Duff, authorities have been unable to find him and they are now asking for the public’s help in locating him. RCMP ask that if you do come into contact with Duff to not approach him as he is considered dangerous. Duff is also known to have access to firearms, though it is not known whether he is armed at this time.

Anyone with information that could lead to Duff’s apprehension is encouraged to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
