One more COVID-19 recovery in Grande Prairie

There were 35 new cases of COVID-19 reported by Alberta Health on Tuesday, while the City of Grande Prairie saw one more cases case recover.

Local data on Alberta Health’s aggregate data site shows that there are now two active cases in Grande Prairie, while 16 are considered recovered. The active case in the M.D. of Peace has been moved to another jurisdiction, while an active case has been added to the Northern Sunrise County area.

Updated case totals among Peace Region municipalities as of end of day June 15 are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 18 cases (Two active, 16 recovered)
  • County of Grande Prairie: Seven cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Greenview: Three cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 67 cases (57 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 40 cases (35 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: Five cases (All recovered)
  • Northern Sunrise County: Four cases (One active, three recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: Six cases (All recovered)
  • Clear Hills County: Ten cases (All active)
  • County of Northern Lights: Zero cases
  • Mackenzie County: 33 cases (Two active, 31 recovered)

There are now 449 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, while 6,882 people have recovered. No new deaths were reported on Tuesday, keeping the province’s death toll attributed to COVID-19 at 151.

There are now 36 people in hospital as of June 16, while seven of those patients have been admitted into ICU. Three people are in hospital in Northern Alberta, with one of those individuals in intensive care.

There have now been a total of 349,836 COVID-19 tests processed in Alberta, with 24,579 of tests having been given to residents of the North Zone.
