Suspicious death near Woking deemed a homicide
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit has deemed a suspicious death near the hamlet of Woking last week to be a homicide, following an autopsy conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner.
RCMP have confirmed the victim to be a 19-year-old male from Clairmont. The victim’s identity is not being released by authorities.
Few details are known about what led to the man’s death at this time. The victim’s body was found along the roadside of Highway 677, near the Woking turnoff just west of Highway 2 (about 50 km north of downtown Grande Prairie), on the morning of June 11 just after 9 a.m.
RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate this case, and thank those who have come froward with dash cam footage from that morning.
