No new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Peace Region Monday

No new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Peace as the province added 32 new cases for June 22.

There are now 542 active cases in the province, with 7,041 having recovered. The North Zone currently has 34 active cases.

One death was reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths related to COVID-19 to 153 in Alberta.

Updated case totals in the Peace Region as of the end-of-day on June 21 are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 18 cases (One active, 17 recovered)
  • County of Grande Prairie: Seven cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Greenview: Three cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 67 cases (57 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 40 cases (35 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: Five cases (All recovered)
  • Northern Sunrise County: Four cases (One active, three recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: Six cases (All recovered)
  • Clear Hills County: Ten cases (All active)
  • County of Northern Lights: Zero cases
  • Mackenzie County: 33 cases (All recovered)

There are now 32 people in hospital as of June 22 with COVID-19, one less than June 21. Six are now in ICU. Two are currently in hospital in the North Zone, and one is in ICU.

There have now been 396,300 tests completed in the province, with 27,955 people having been tested in northern Alberta.
