One new COVID-19 case reported in City of Grande Prairie

Alberta Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the City of Grande Prairie Sunday, while there were 39 new cases added across Alberta.

There remains 520 active cases in Alberta, while 7,322 people have recovered. No additional deaths were reported Sunday, keeping the number of fatalities attributed to COVID-19 in Alberta at 154.

Updated case numbers among Peace Region municipalities are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 19 cases (One active, 18 recovered)
  • County of Grande Prairie: Seven cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Greenview: Three cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 67 cases (One active, 56 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 41 cases (One active, 35 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: Five cases (All recovered)
  • Northern Sunrise County: Four cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: Six cases (All recovered)
  • Clear Hills County: Ten cases (One active, nine recovered)
  • County of Northern Lights: Zero cases
  • Mackenzie County: 37 cases (Four active, 33 recovered)

There are now 43 people in hospital with COVID-19 in Alberta, one more than the day prior, while there remains eight in ICU. In the North Zone there are now six people in hospital, also one more than the day before. One person in the North Zone is in intensive care.

The provincial lab processed 6,511 tests over the last 24 hours. There have now been 435,254 tests administered in Alberta, while 30,571 people from northern Alberta have been tested.
