No new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Peace Region

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Peace Region or the North Zone on Monday, as the Province of Alberta added 71 new cases of COVID-19 for June 29.

There are now 559 active cases in Alberta.

In the last 24 hours 32 people have recovered, bringing the amount of recoveries in the province from COVID-19 to 7,354.

There are now 41 people in hospital with COVID-19 in Alberta, a drop of two from Sunday. One more person was added to the ICU, bringing the amount of ICU patients from COVID-19 to nine.

No new deaths were reported on Monday, meaning the number of fatalities related to the virus remains at 154.

Updated case numbers among Peace Region municipalities are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 19 cases (One active, 18 recovered)
  • County of Grande Prairie: Seven cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Greenview: Three cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 67 cases (One active, 56 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 41 cases (One active, 35 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: Five cases (All recovered)
  • Northern Sunrise County: Four cases (All recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: Six cases (All recovered)
  • Clear Hills County: Ten cases (One active, nine recovered)
  • County of Northern Lights: Zero cases
  • Mackenzie County: 37 cases (Four active, 33 recovered)

In the last 24 hours, 6,997 people were tested. There have now been 442,253 Albertans tested for COVID-19.
