Former Storm goaltender inks deal with Vegas Golden Knights
Former Grande Prairie Storm goaltender Logan Thompson signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.
Thompson served as the Storm’s goaltender in the 2014-15 season, where he posted a .906 save percentage and had a 3.38 goals against average. His regular season record was 4-11-5.
After his season in Grande Prairie, Thompson went on to serve as one of the goaltenders for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL from 2016-2018. Thompson won a WHL championship with the Wheat Kings in 2016 and also appeared in a Memorial Cup game that same season.
Thompson would then play one year at Brock University in Ontario in 2018-19, later appearing in nine games in the ECHL that same season.
