Calgary makes masks mandatory in indoor public spaces as of Aug. 1

CALGARY- Calgary city council has voted in favour of making masks mandatory in indoor public spaces.
The vote at yesterday’s meeting was 12-to-three.
Councillors Sean Chu, Jeromy Farkas and Joe Magliocca voted against the bylaw.
The new mask requirement will take effect on August 1 and apply to all City of Calgary buildings, buses, trains, taxis, malls and grocery stores.
