Heat warnings issued for most of Peace Region

Heat warnings have been issued by Environment Canada for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, and Valleyview areas.

Warnings have also been issued for the Fairview, Peace River, High Prairie, Manning, Hinton, Grande Cache and the Fort Vermilion-High Level areas.

Environment Canada says temperatures near 29 degrees Celsius in the region are expected over the next three days.

A severe thunderstorm watch is also in place for Hinton and Grande Cache.
