Sekulic wins Amateur portion at the Alberta Open

Rycroft’s Max Sekulic won the Amateur portion of the Alberta Open Championship played at Ponoka’s Wolf Creek Golf Course.

Sekulic birdied his last two holes in the final round on Thursday to finish at an even par, 213 total over three rounds.

The result left him first among amateurs and in a tie for eighth overall for the entire tournament.

Edmonton’s AJ Armstrong won the Alberta Open with a seven-under 206 total over three rounds.
