Boil Water advisory issued for town of Fairview

A boil water advisory has been issued for the town of Fairview, as well as other areas that get their water supply from the Fairview Water Treatment plant.

That includes the hamlet of Bluesky, the Fairview Water Co-op and the truck fill stations in Fairview and Bluesky.

In a Facebook message, the town says the advisory was put in place after the equipment that is responsible for chlorinating the water failed, which could lead to inadequate chlorine disinfection taking place.

They add repairs are currently underway, but that the advisory could stay in place until Wednesday.

Once the repairs are done, a water sample will be sent for testing, and must be approved by Alberta Health Services before the advisory can be lifted.
