UPDATE: Tips from the public have allowed the Peace River RCMP to identify the owner of the Corvette responsible for property damage.

RCMP in Peace River are looking for the driver, and car, responsible for damage to a house and fence Monday night.

Police responded to a call of a dark grey/black Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 driving erratically at around 9:12 p.m. The vehicle at one point lost control and struck a fence and a house on 90 Street, before fleeing the scene. The Corvette was spotted travelling south on Highway 684.

RCMP say they conducted extensive patrols but were unable to find the responsible party and are now urging them to turn themselves in to police.

Police are also asking anyone who has information about the vehicle or its whereabouts to contact the Peace Regional RCMP or Crime Stoppers. They add the car likely has substantial damage from the collision.
