RCMP seize stolen firearms, illicit drugs following investigation in Grande Prairie
The RCMP’s Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (WAD CRU) says it seized a “significant” number of firearms and various other illegal items during a recent search warrant that was carried out on August 3.
Following a public tip on July 31, the Crime Reduction Unit launched an investigation into a Grande Prairie resident in relation to drug trafficking, which led to the arrest of two men.
The investigation led to the warrant being executed at a house located in the Pinnacle neighbourhood on August 3.
Following the search warrant, RCMP seized large amounts of cash, numerous firearms, ammunition, magazines, brass knuckles, Illicit drugs, hard body armour and stolen identification.
