Repaving of 108 Street bridges to start Monday

Aug 21, 2020 | 12:10 PM

Starting Monday, August 24, the City of Grande Prairie will begin repaving work on the Bear Creek bridges on the old bypass.

Work on the 108 Street bridges will include milling and repaving of the bridge decks, guardrail work and concrete repairs. That work will force both north and southbound traffic into a single lane in each direction while work is ongoing.

The City says in a news release that they expect minor traffic delays, with the completion date scheduled for mid-September.

They ask drivers to use caution and watch for crew members in the area and to obey all signage and speed limit restrictions.
