Construction to start today on Wapiti Road

Some re-paving work on 108 Street, also called Wapiti Road, is set to start today.

All four lanes between 84 and 92 Avenues will get new pavement.

New storm culverts are going in near the intersections with 89 and 84 Avenues. That work is expected to start Saturday. Part of the road will be closed. Detours will be in place.

People are being asked to use an alternate route if possible, as major traffic delays are expected. They are also being asked to watch out for construction workers.

If the weather co-operates, the culvert replacements should take about 10 days. The entire project is expected to be complete by mid-October.
