Residents of a Highland Park home have been displaced after an early morning fire did considerable damage to their home.

Just before 5 a.m. on Monday, September 14, the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire.

Fire crews arrived on the scene and discovered the fire, which was showing through the roof of the home. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other structures and managed to extinguish the fire, but not before significant damage was done to the home.

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.
