Fairview man suffers firearms-related injuries in hunting incident

A 21-year-old man from Fairview has been taken to hospital in Edmonton after RCMP say he suffered firearms-related injuries while hunting.

At around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, Fairview RCMP were notified of an adult man who had suffered injuries in a “hunting-related incident”, which occurred in a remote area northwest of the town.

Fairview RCMP, EMS and STARS air ambulance were called to the scene. The man was transported by STARS to Edmonton for treatment.

RCMP say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
