No new COVID-19 cases in Grande Prairie area; one million Albertans now tested
The province has now tested over 1,000,000 Albertans for COVID-19, as there were 406 new cases (60 on Friday, 184 on Saturday and 162 on Sunday) identified over the weekend in the province.
The province completed just over 51,000 tests between Friday and Sunday at the provincial lab, bringing the total number of tests completed to 1,320,550 as of Sunday night. Those tests have now been completed on 1,001,638 Albertans.
“This is a big number, and a remarkable accomplishment of our health-care system,” said Health Minister Tyler Shandro, during Monday’s COVID-19 update.
“Alberta now has conducted more tests, per capita, than B.C., Ontario or Quebec. We all should be proud of what our labs have accomplished.”
