All Grande Prairie area COVID-19 outbreaks resolved
Alberta Health is reporting all COVID-19 outbreak sites in the Grande Prairie area to be resolved as of the end of day Monday, as the City of Grande Prairie is reporting one new case for Tuesday’s update.
The outbreaks identified at the QEII Hospital and Prairie Lakes Seniors Facility have been removed from Alberta Health’s COVID-19 website, which Tom McMillan with Alberta Health says means Alberta Health Services has notified them about the outbreaks being considered over.
“Outbreaks are declared over when 4 weeks have passed with no new cases,” states Alberta Health.
Outbreaks at a group home run by Signature Support Services and the Heritage Lodge in Grande Prairie have also been removed from the list, while there have also been no school outbreaks noted as of September 28 in Grande Prairie.
