Frost advisory issued for Grande Prairie, Peace River areas Tuesday

A frost advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview areas for Tuesday night.

Environment Canada is calling for overnight temperatures around Grande Prairie to dip down to zero, under clear skies and calm winds.

An advisory is also out for the Peace River-Fairview-Manning-High Prairie area, as well as Slave Lake.

“Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.”
