The Tim Hortons location in Peace River was one of the top-selling Smile Cookie locations in Canada this year.

Tim Hortons announced this week that the Peace River location, owned by Gordon and Barbra Drummond, sold over 23,000 Smile Cookies. That location is the only Tim Hortons Peace River which has a population of 6,842.

As for Grande Prairie Tim Hortons locations, they combined to end up selling 58,015 Smile Cookies, including 20,000 that were sold to Ken Sargent GMC Buick, Sean Sargent Toyota and the Sargent Family Foundation. These were given away to each school in Grande Prairie.

Other locations across Canada that did well included Binbrook, Ontario, which sold over 35,000 smile cookies and Lac-Megantic, Quebec, which sold over 19,000 cookies.

Tim Hortons says it is still gathering local numbers from across the country.

The Smile Cookie campaign takes place once a year in September.

The goal is to donate the proceeds sold from each cookie towards a charity or organization in a specific local community. Last year, Tim Hortons locations across Canada raised $9.8 million for charity.
