After a lengthy training camp, the Grande Prairie Storm will finally have some games to prepare for.

On October 1, the AJHL announced that exhibition games will be able to take place in two-team cohorts, with the Storm and Whitecourt Wolverines sharing a cohort.

The Storm will begin their exhibition season on October 9 in Whitecourt. They’ll return home on October 10 to host the Wolverines.

On the league’s website, they state that the exhibition season guidelines laid out meet the current health and safety requirements laid out by the Government of Alberta.

The league also says that a decision on the next series of exhibition play and the AJHL Regular Season will be dependent on the expansion of cohorts and increase in facility capacity limits, as determined by the Government of Alberta.

The league says once given the green light by the province, it will immediately commence regular season competition when provincial regulations allow.

The Storm’s exhibition schedule is as followed:

October 9 – Storm @ Wolverines 7:30 p.m.

October 10 – Wolverines @ Storm 7:00 p.m.

October 16 – Wolverines @ Storm 7:00 p.m.

October 17 – Storm @ Wolverines 7:30 p.m.

On their Facebook page, the Storm said that home games will have a limited attendance, with a specific number yet to be announced.
