Seven traffic signals in Grande Prairie will be getting repaired or replaced beginning Monday, October 5.

The City says in a release that three of the traffic signals will be getting fully replaced, which are all along the Highway 43 corridor, at the intersections of:

  • 124 Avenue and 100 Street
  • 121 Avenue and 100 Street
  • 104 Avenue and 108 Street

Four other lights around the City will receive some minor upgrades, including:

  • 84 Avenue and Poplar Drive
  • 116 Avenue and Lakeland Drive
  • 68 Avenue and Resources Road
  • 68 Avenue and 108 Street

“Traffic will be minimally impacted during construction, with some lane closures,” reads a release from the City. “Lane closures will be avoided during peak hours whenever possible.”

They add that the 2020 Traffic Signal Program is slated to be complete by the end of November.
