Money and drugs seized in Fort Vermilion arrest

An RCMP investigation has led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Fort Vermillion on Wednesday, September 30.

ALERT Grande Prairie’s organized crime team assisted the Fort Vermillion RCMP and the Mackenzie County Enhanced Unit with their investigation. A search warrant was obtained following the investigation, and when executed, the RCMP arrested 42 year-old Angela Mitchell without incident.

Mitchell faces charges that include:

• Trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of property obtained by a crime

Mitchell has been released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in Fort Vermillion provincial court on October 20.
