Grande Prairie Storm wrapped up their four game pre-season cohort series with the Whitecourt Wolverines on Saturday night, dropping a 4-2 decision in Whitecourt.

Brett Meerman and Nathaniel Bierd had the goals for the Storm, who split the four game series with the Wolverines.

NWJHL pre season saw three games played on Saturday.

Matthew Towler scored twice as the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings beat the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers 6-4.

Logan Mazerolle scored twice, including the winner nine seconds into overtime, as the Fairview Flyers edged the North Peace Navigators 3-2.

The other game saw Fort St John score seven times in the third period to hammer Dawson Creek 10-0.

The Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm dropped a 7-2 decision to St Albert, with Landon Hedges and Codie Saunders getting the goals.

Those two teams will meet again Sunday afternoon in St Albert.

And Reis Nylund and Eric Giesbrecht each scored twice as the Golden Arrow U15 AAA Storm hammered Parkland 8-1.
