Woking School temporarily closed following COVID-19 case

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) has announced that a case of COVID-19 has been identified at Woking School.

All close contacts of the individual have been identified and will be contacted by Alberta Health Services. As a result of the confirmed case of COVID-19, PWPSD has announced that the school will remain closed for the upcoming week.

PWPSD says that the closure is due to the lack of available staffing at the school.

According to PWPSD the school underwent a deep cleaning this past weekend. The school is expected to reopen on Monday, November 2.

Remote learning opportunities will be available for the students impacted by the closure.
