Former Grande Prairie Minor Hockey player Kaiden Guhle has been named one of 46 players invited to Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp for the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Edmonton.

Guhle spent from 2006-2010 playing minor hockey in Grande Prairie, before his family moved to Sherwood Park.

Earlier this month, Guhle was selected 16th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the 2020 NHL Ebtry Draft.

The 6’2″ defenceman plays for the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL and last season registered 40 points in 64 games.

Guhle was one of six Albertans selected to the camp. Bragg Creek’s Dylan Holloway, Ridly Greig from Lethbridge, Peyton Krebs of Okotoks, Sherwood Park’s Matthew Robertson and Calgary’s Taylor Gauthier were also invited to the camp.

The Selection Camp is scheduled to take place from November 16 to December 13 in Red Deer.
