Paving of 108 Street in Grande Prairie completed

The City of Grande Prairie says the paving of 108 Street between 84 and 92 Avenue has been completed, fully reopening both the north and southbound lanes to traffic.
While traffic flow has reopened along Wapiti Road, there is some work that still remains. The City says over the next two weeks crews will be working on line painting, pavement markings, the connection of a recently installed box culvert to the existing storm drainage system and the reinstallation of traffic lights at 89 Avenue.
While that work continues, the north and south traffic signals at the intersection of 108 Street and 89 Avenue will be in yellow-flashing mode, meaning drivers need to approach with caution and follow all posted signage or flag persons.
Access to 89 Avenue from 108 Street remains closed until the traffic lights are installed.
