Grande Prairie adds three new COVID-19 cases, 12 recoveries

The City of Grande Prairie added three new cases of COVID-19 and saw 12 recoveries for Tuesday, November 3, bringing the active case total of COVID-19 in the Swan City to 96.

This comes as the province added a total of 515 new cases for Tuesday, bringing the amount of active cases in the province to 6,230.

There are now 27 active cases in the County of Grande Prairie as that area added one new cases for Tuesday.

Updated case numbers among Peace Region municipalities as of the end of day November 3 are as follows:

  • City of Grande Prairie: 309 cases (96 active, 211 recovered, two deaths)
  • County of Grande Prairie: 107 cases (27 active, 80 recovered)
  • M.D. of Greenview: 30 cases (10 active, 18 recovered, one death)
  • Birch Hills County: Five cases (all recovered)
  • M.D. of Spirit River: 28 cases (one active, 27 recovered)
  • Saddle Hills County: Four cases (all recovered)
  • M.D. of Smoky River: 76 cases (one active, 65 recovered, ten deaths)
  • Big Lakes County: 53 cases (48 recovered, five deaths)
  • M.D. of Lesser Slave River: 25 cases (six active, 19 recovered)
  • M.D. of Peace: 44 cases (14 active, 30 recovered)
  • M.D. of Fairview: 34 cases (17 active, 17 recovered)
  • Clear Hills County: 97 cases (two active, 94 recovered, one death)
  • Northern Sunrise County: Nine cases (all recovered)
  • County of Northern Lights: 61 cases (three active, 58 recovered)
  • Mackenzie County: 416 cases (seven active, 396 recovered, 13 deaths)

Over the last 24 hours, hospitalizations in the North Zone grew by one to six, with two of those individuals in an ICU admissions.

Across the province there are currently 164 people in hospital, a drop of three from the previous day. ICU admissions however grew by three to 30.

Five new deaths linked to COVID-19 were reported in Alberta bringing the death toll in the province to 343.

There were 7,461 tests completed in the last 24 hours in Alberta, creating a positivity rate of 6.9 per cent.
